Steven Junil Park studied at Elam school of fine art with the intention of becoming a painter and printmaker. With the highly conceptual demands of the institution he became disillusioned by the art world and started a clothing label, vowing never to paint again. Now that many years have passed and his label, 6x4, is a satisfying, full-time occupation, he has started painting again. He paints when taking a break from the sewing studio, purely for the enjoyment of the act of painting.
